Chad Johnson Says Steelers Signing Russell Wilson
Former Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson revealed on the Nightcap podcast that he has received word from “a little birdie” that Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson will be signing a contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers this offseason.
Even though the Steelers are adamant that Mason Rudolph and Kenny Pickett are their best alternatives this offseason, Pittsburgh’s next great quarterback continues to be named by many. In addition to Wilson, the Steelers have identified Jimmy Garoppolo, Kirk Cousins, Justin Fields, and most recently, Wilson as possible possibilities.
Wilson, 35, has an NFL career record of 115-72-1 as a starter. Before being benched due to injury obligations late in the season, he had a 7-8 record with the Broncos the previous year.
