Celtics’ Jayson Tatum Says He’s Best Player in NBA; Talks Respect for Giannis, More
The standout player for the Boston Celtics, Jayson Tatum, believes he is the finest player in the NBA.
In response to a question from ESPN’s Malika Andrews about who he thinks is the greatest player in the NBA at the moment, Tatum said, “Myself.”
“I have great regard for many of the guys in the league.” Definitely Giannis [Antetokounmpo]. Obviously, [Nikola] Jokić emerged victorious. Joel Embiid, players that have won MVP awards, and so forth. Tatum said, “The league is at a wonderful spot, at the 2:10 point.
“I truly do believe every night I step on the floor I’m the best player.”
Undoubtedly, one of the league’s finest players, Tatum is mentioned as the MVP this season once more. After 52 games, he’s averaging 27.1 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 4.8 assists while shooting 36.3 percent from outside the arc and 47.5 percent from the floor
With a 43-12 record, the Celtics lead the Eastern Conference and are the best team in the NBA, in part because of Tatum. They seem to be the front-runners for the NBA championship as well.
However, because they have all at least one MVP title, players like Embiid, Jokić, and Antetokounmpo have always been seen of as superior to the seasoned Celtic. NBA champs Jokić and Antetokounmpo are also.
This season, if Tatum can win his first NBA championship, he could receive the recognition he so well deserves from non-Boston basketball fans.
