Snooker player Neil Robertson issued a warning, saying that in order to get back to his best, he must be “brutal” and let his opponents “sufferIn an attempt to return to his peak, former world snooker champion Neil Robertson is adamant that he has to make his rivals “struggle.
The Australian has had an unremarkable season thus far, failing to get past the round of 16 in any ranking tournament during one of his worst seasons to date. Following a lackluster performance in his last campaign, he has fallen in the rankings.
Robertson is expected to need to qualify in order to attend the World Championship at the Crucible in April, since he is expected to finish outside of the top 16. But in the German Masters in Berlin, the 2010 world champion defeated world No. 36 Jimmy Robertson with to runs of 87, 78, 135 and 86.

After hammering Jimmy 5-0, Robertson spoke with WST about his newfound will to move past his bad run of form, saying, “It’s very easily done.” You cannot merely decide to start winning right away if you momentarily lose focus on the task at hand.
“This season, I thought I would practice a lot and start winning again, but that wasn’t the case. Suddenly, your opponents step up their game because they believe that he might not be playing as well. I had to put them all down. That must be ten frames in a row that I have won.”I must return to my vicious ways and simply bury my opponents under the earth.” The joyful, grin-filled handshakes are over. On the table, I wish my opponent the worst. I want them to suffer on the table, but I don’t care if they stay away from it. That’s what I need to return to.
Robertson, who is now ranked seventh in the world, is expected to drop out of the top eight and thus miss out on the prestigious Riyadh Season World Masters of Snooker in Saudi Arabia in March due to his current form.
