Supporters of the Denver Broncos do more than just applaud on Sundays throughout the football season when their team is victorious. WE will always be fans. Every day, all year long. Therefore, I think Broncos fans should be ranked first, even though Green Bay Packers fans also deserve some recognition.
The Broncos Country will not be pleased with the new title Forbes Magazine gave the Green Bay Packers yesterday: “Best Fans in the NFL.”
Even while the Broncos finished at a very respectable No. 2, it is clear that the criterion did not include anything cool or significant about fantastic fans, such as mascots or fan apparel (a block of cheese, really?).
If anything, Seahawks supporters can take comfort in the fact that they did not place in the top 7.
Actually, a ranking based on data and Nielsen ratings from the previous three years was determined using the following five criteria:
hometown crowd reach, which is determined by Nielsen Scarborough as the portion of the metro population that watched, attended, or listened to a game in the previous year; Nielsen television ratings; stadium attendance determined by capacity reached; NFLShop.com merchandise sales; and social media reach, which is contingent upon the team’s metro area population and consists of a combination of Facebook likes and Twitter followers.
There you have it, then. As if those metrics actually conveyed the quality of your fan base. HA!
Okay, so the percentage of the population that attends or watches a game may be quite excellent, but there are 300,000 people in Green Bay, and there are no competitive sports played during football season—that is, unless you
Yes, indeed. Since 1960, Lambeau Field has had a waiting list, as far as I know. However, the Packers founded in 1919. They needed forty-one years. It was the Broncos’ first three since entering the NFL. We prevail.
Mile High would continue to sell out even if Denver constructed a stadium big enough to accommodate the entire city, or even just a third of it like Green Bay. Akin to how it has been since 1973!
Forbes, did you hear that? since 1973! Indeed, I am aware that Lambeau Field has not been filled since 1960, but the Packers were founded in 1919. They needed forty-one years to sell out. After entering the NFL, the Broncos only required three of the thirteen. We prevail. The Broncos’ ranking [at No. 2] is evidence that bandwagon followers’ interest may fluctuate. Three years in a row, the team’s attendance was below capacity before Peyton Manning arrived. Its capacity has been reported at 100.7% and 101% over the last two seasons. During the same period, the team’s products advanced among the best-selling items. The former quarterback went from owning one of the Colts’ best-selling jerseys to the top-selling Broncos jersey. You can curse them endlessly. Marketing-wise, bandwagon fans can be beneficial.
Although I won’t go so far as to justify Broncos supporters who didn’t utilize their highly sought-after tickets during those years, you have to realize that was our way of protesting the worst coaching hire in the annals of worst coaching hiring. In Denver Broncos history, the Josh McDaniels period is a dark and scandalous affair. There were Broncos supporters who created a website just to get rid of that guy because they were that committed to the team.
We had to prove to the adored Pat Bowlen that was a bad decision.
Furthermore, what do you know? It was successful. After Bowlen fired the Belichick backup, the Fox/Elway period started.I’ll sum it up here.
However, I don’t want to detract from Packers supporters too much since, frankly, those that sit outside
Long before the team was good, in 1967, Tim McKernan began going to Broncos games. He only missed four until his death in 2009, one week after the Broncos crushed the Giants on Thanksgiving Day. In 1977, he adopted the barrel as his go-to piece, wearing it in the sun, sleet, and snow until he retired it in 2007. His Super Bowl XXXII barrel sold for $30,000 and contained 49 autographs from Bronco players.
Because of how amazing our fans are, there is even It is accurate. We enjoy our snow. We get ecstatic when those magnificent flakes of chrystalline water ice start to fall since we know most teams can’t handle it. It’s also a nice excuse to hit up a few ski runs before of the game and don our best headgear.a Facebook page dedicated to having Barrel Man inducted into the Hall of Fame because he was so amazing.
Of course, we have two Super Bowl victories, a few memorable comeback victories, Hall of Fame players, and iconic plays like The Drive, The Fumble, and The Helicopter.
There was Tommy Jackson, Terrell Davis, and John Elway. Von Miller, Demaryius Thomas, and Peyton Manning are our current roster. We have legends and Hall of Famers. On certain days, being a fan is quite simple. It’s more difficult on some days.
We’ve also suffered an immense number of heartbreaking defeats, five of which were in February. As a sports fan, they hurt like nothing else, yet you keep coming back because you believe.
There are still Broncos supporters here, and we’ll be back. Always positive, always zealous, and always devoted.
Furthermore, we are profoundly aware that Lombardi
Yes, it is true. It’s also rather wonderful.
We live in a mile-high metropolis. The Rocky Mountains front our stadium. And a white freaking horse is our mascot.
The Broncos had one of the finest home records in the league (191-65-1) from 1974 to 2006, thanks to the support of the fans at Mile High Stadium. Our home field advantage consistently rates among the best in the league.
I have no idea why we are even having this discussion.
