This season, AJ Dillon in particular has declined. In addition to missing the last two games for the Packers because of injuries to his thumb and neck, the running back’s averages dropped to 3.4 yards per carry, which was a career low.
Even yet, the running back’s relatively youthful age of 25 makes him a valuable asset for the Packers should they decide to trade him for picks or another player in order to bolster their squad.

Gardner-Johnson, another experienced free agent safety, will take Savage’s place.
Gardner-Johnson signed a $6.5 million one-year contract with the Lions in March 2023 after being traded by the New Orleans Saints to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2022.
