The Chicago Bears, who own the first choice in the draft, have an abundance of possibilities at their disposal. They have three options: they can select one of the top three quarterback prospects, they can choose a wide receiver who is considered a “generational talent,” or they may hold the selection for a ransom and move down in the draft, like Ryan Poles did with the Carolina Panthers the previous year.
In this series, we are examining each of those possibilities. The Drake Maye, Jayden Daniels, and Marvin Harrison editions may be accessed via these links. The most likely chapter in this series to occur is possibly the one that follows. Many NFL media outlets and organizations predict that Poles will choose to stay at one and choose Caleb Williams.
Here’s how the top 10 may play out in such circumstance.
1. Caleb Williams of the Chicago Bears, quarterback Ryan Poles of USC, is astounding. Ryan Poles has made the decision to wed that expression to his quarterback performance. For Poles, the decision to choose a talented player such as Williams is more important than considering any trade possibilities. He believes that making this move would solidify his team and propel them to the championship level.
2. North Carolina’s Drake Maye, Washington Commanders
1. Ryan Poles of USC, quarterback for the Chicago Bears, Caleb Williams, is excellent. Ryan Poles has chosen to marry that expression to his quarterbacking abilities. For Poles, selecting a gifted player like Williams is more crucial than thinking about potential trades. He thinks that taking this action would strengthen his squad and get them closer to the championship.
2. Washington Commanders, Drake Maye, North Carolina3. LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels of the New England Patriots
The Patriots team is going through a significant change. Now that Tom Brady has retired and Bill Belichick is no longer in charge of football operations, Jerod Mayo, the next coach, will guide the Patriots into a new chapter in their history. They choose Daniels, an athlete on the rise, to be their franchise quarterback and make him the face of that new age.4. Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison of the Arizona Cardinals
Daniels’ ascent up the board has the Cardinals ecstatic because it keeps Harrison on the board for them rather than sending him to Boston. The Cardinals plan to remain with Kyler Murray because they think his game will improve with such a powerful weapon.5. Los Angeles Chargers: LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers
For the past four months, the Chargers have been crossing their fingers that the top four selections fall in this order so they can choose Nabers, their man. Nabers is an exceptional talent who will make an instant impact. One of the NFL’s most successful pairings will be Justin Herbert and Herbert to Nabers.
6. Joe Alt, a Notre Dame tackle for the New York Giants
Right now, the Giants appear to be the largest wild card among the top 10. They adore Alt and his potential to get in and start right away, but they also need to strengthen their offensive line. They may go quarterback or draft an offensive weapon.
7. Penn State Tackle Olu Fashanu and the Tennessee Titans
In our first two mocks, Alt arrived here, and now Fashanu arrives here once more. It looks like the Titans would be wise to use this choice to fortify their offensive line.
8. Atlanta Falcons: Alabama Edge, Dallas Turner
The Falcons have a lot of options with this choice, which has them somewhat thrilled. They ultimately came to the conclusion that it is too excellent to pass up when the best defensive player is taken off the board as low as eight points. They think Turner can immediately strengthen that unit because they didn’t do a great job of pressing the quarterback in 2023.
Alt landed here in our first two mocks, and now Fashanu returns here. It appears that the Titans would be smart to strengthen their offensive line with this decision.
8. Atlanta Falcons: Dallas Turner, Alabama Edge
With this decision, the Falcons have a lot of alternatives, which makes them happy in a way. Finally, they decided that when the top defensive player is removed off the board for as little as eight points, it is simply too good to ignore. Given that they struggled to press the quarterback in 2023, they believe Turner can boost that unit right away. The Chicago Bears’ Jaylon Johnson was named to the PFA All-NFC Team as the best cornerback.
