Now that the Green Bay Packers season is over, it’s time to look forward. Jayden Reed, a rookie wide receiver, is one player who has a very bright future with this team. Although many other rookies made an impact, Reed was unquestionably the Packers’ best rookie in 2023.
Jayden Reed was selected from Michigan State in the second round. He is the Packers’ all-around wide receiver. With 64 receptions for 793 yards receiving and eight touchdowns, Reed concluded the season with high totals. Additionally, quarterback Jordan Love targeted him 94 times this season, averaging 12.4 yards per reception.
In addition, Reed averaged 10.8 yards per carry on 11 carries for 119 yards of total yardage, two touchdowns, and running. If he can stay healthy, he has the ability to surpass 1,000 yards receiving in his second season, though he might be used a little more in the run game as time goes on.
This season, Reed has only had one 100-yard receiving game, which came against the Chicago Bears in Week 18 when he had four grabs for 112 yards.
As the top wide receiver going into the 2024 season, Reed will play for the Green Bay Packers. Many people believed Christian Watson would win the most receiving yards on the team at the end of the season, but Watson’s hamstring issue prevented him from playing as much as he would have liked. If Watson comes together, he has a chance to be the best player again next season.
Romeo Doubs will also play a significant role in the receiving game. Dontayvion Wicks, who was still a rookie this season, has a ton of promise and will be a solid fourth wide receiver on the team. Out of the four wide receivers on this roster, Jayden Reed could have the best potential.
