Just hours before the Dallas Mavericks’ most recent NBA game, star player Luka Doncic showed off his new braided haircut on social media.
The 24-year-old, four-time All-Star shared a picture of himself on Instagram on Monday, lowering his head to flaunt his braids for the cameras.
It was unclear if Doncic had assistance or completed the braiding on his own.
The Slovenian is averaging almost a triple-double this season, so it doesn’t matter how he styled his hair; he is a threat on the court.
Doncic ended that night with 33 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists in just 36 minutes of action. Dallas’ No. 77 is winning off the court, too, as he and his fiancée revealed last month that they are proud parents to a beautiful baby girl. Doncic’s most recent performance against the L.A. Lakers included a triple-double.
In a game, he is scoring 34 points, pulling down eight rebounds, and handing out nine assists.
The Mavericks, who are now 24-18 on the year, are vying for a Western Conference playoff berth.
If the season ended on Sunday, Dallas, now ranked sixth in the West, would have qualified for the playoffs.
Following the passing of Dejan Milojevic, the team’s game against the Golden State Warriors was postponed. The team’s next game is on Monday night against the Boston Celtics.
The NBA community, including Doncic, who sent a message on Instagram with the phrase, “Rest in peace bro!”, expressed their sympathies to Milojevic’s family and the Warriors organization.
On Monday night, the Mavericks vs. Celtics game begins at 8:30 ET.
