Eagles are apparently planning to make significant coaching staff changes again.
The Philadelphia Eagles are allegedly planning to make another significant change to their coaching staff following a disappointing season finale.
Eagles writer Derrick Gunn believes it is unlikely that offensive coordinator Brian Johnson would return in 2024. If the allegation is true, Johnson’s tenure in the position will be limited to one season.
The Eagles have made it apparent that significant adjustments are required, even while head coach Nick Sirianni is secure. That makes sense as the team finished the season with a 6–7 record, including a Wild Card loss to Tampa Bay, after starting the season 10–1. The offense, which failed to score 20 points in five of the six losses, had a significant role in that collapse.
This is only the most recent development in Philadelphia’s ongoing personnel reorganization. For the second consecutive year, the club will have two new coordinators in 2024; however, this time around, it’s because the organization had trouble finding a replacement for Shane Steichen and Jonathan Gannon, who both left to take head coaching positions elsewhere following the previous season.
This cycle, Johnson did have interest from head coaches; nonetheless, it is likely that he will need to look for work as an offensive coordinator somewhere.
