“America’s Team” is still taking hits, this time from a three-time Pro Bowler who tortured them for more than ten years, about a week after the Dallas Cowboys season ended suddenly.
On social media on Saturday, former wide receiver DeSean Jackson of the Philadelphia Eagles expressed his happiness that the Cowboys were not participating in the divisional round of the playoffs.
Jackson’s perspective is further salt in a fresh wound, but it helps ease the sadness over his beloved Eagles’ identical late-season collapse. The Cowboys, in contrast to the Eagles, went into the postseason with the enthusiasm of a team that was expected to go far, but their season ended in an unexpected loss to the Green Bay Packers.
Prior to publishing his scathing post on Saturday, Jackson had said a lot about the Eagles’ bitter rival. When he was on “Up & Adams” earlier this week, he said that the Cowboys have been cursed since the Tony Romo days.
“They’re not the 90s Cowboys anymore,” Jackson stated. “They have a curse, and something requires a radical change. It’s not even Dak alone, in my opinion.
If Jackson is right and Arlington needs change, it won’t happen in the background just yet. Head coach Mike McCarthy will return to the Cowboys in 2024, the team has already declared. However, McCarthy’s contract will not be extended, so he will effectively be on a one-year deal.
Jackson is the one who has the right to be critical of the Cowboys. The New York Giants were the only team he had more catches (61) and touchdowns (6) against during his 15 seasons in the NFL. With only Art Monk (1,357) and Charley Taylor (1,463) having given up more yards in franchise history, his 1,330 yards in 18 games against Dallas are the third-highest total.

The Bears’ preparations for the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft have been revealed by a trustworthy NFL insider. The draft is rapidly approaching.
Broncos insider Benjamin Allbright of KOAColorado provided this information. Frank Grizzly, an NFL draft analyst and Bears reporter, supported Allbright. If Allbright is reporting anything, Grizzly says it’s probably true. Thus, in the NFL draft of 2024, the Bears will select a quarterback with the first overall pick.
Caleb Williams, the former Heisman Trophy winner, appears to be the Chicago #Bears first-round selection.
Thank you for having @AllbrightNFL on @DougMcCrayNFL’s program. Ben doesn’t, if anyone has followed his work.
Ryan Poles and other Bears team members traveled to Los Angeles on Friday to interview Kliff Kingsbury for the position of offensive coordinator. However, rumors stated that Caleb Williams was the main focus of the interview. Kingsbury, the USC quarterbacks coach, has a long history of collaboration with Caleb Williams, the former Heisman Trophy winner.
Given how much time Kingsbury has spent with Williams this past season, it’s possible that Kingsbury is the most knowledgeable person to discuss Williams with.
In an interview with former Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops for his podcast “Conversations with Coach” earlier this season, Kingsbury—who has tutored Johnny Manziel and Patrick Mahomes—talked highly of Williams.
His happiness at the game. His sense of competition. The caliber of talent is astounding,” Kingsbury remarked.
