According to reports, Christian Eriksen and Jan Vertonghen, two of Tottenham’s best players, are nearing new contracts.

It’s unclear why the agreements have been combined, but in January, the same website stated that Eriksen had achieved a basic understanding on a new five-year contract valued at £22.9 million.
Last month, The Daily Mirror also reported that Eriksen would sign a new three-year contract to continue his career at White Hart Lane.
The 24-year-old, whose contract expires in 2018, has now reportedly indicated that he will sign a Tottenham extension after being persuaded by the team’s goals.
The Denmark playmaker’s new contract is anticipated to last until 2021 and pay him approximately £80,000 per week.
Meanwhile, 28-year-old Vertonghen will sign a contract that will last until 2020 and increase his weekly salary to about £75,0000, making his new package worth £17.5 million.
The Belgium star, who is still sidelined with a knee problem, also has a contract which runs until 2018.
