Deebo Samuel did not spend much time on the field as the San Francisco 49ers upset the Green Bay Packers on Saturday night to advance to the NFC Championship Game. Thankfully, there appears to be hope that the standout wide receiver will be ready to play the following week.
Early in the first half, Samuel sustained a left shoulder injury. After entering the changing room, he was spotted coming back wearing street clothes. Samuel is scheduled to have additional testing on Sunday, but according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, he assured staff members that he was “OK.”
Schefter also inquired about Samuel’s chances of playing in the NFC Championship Game from a 49ers source. Schefter was told by the informant, “Yes, I do.”
In Week 6, Samuel had a little fracture to his left shoulder. He was absent from two games. It’s unclear if that injury and the one he had on Saturday are connected.
A significant component of San Francisco’s attack is Samuel. During the regular season, he caught 60 receptions for 892 yards and 7 touchdowns. In addition, he had five touchdowns on the run and 225 yards of rushing. Obviously, the 49ers will benefit greatly if Samuel is cleared to play in the game the following week, as they narrowly defeated the Packers as 10-point favorites.

Jordan Love, the quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, made a critical error late in his team’s Saturday night loss to the San Francisco 49ers, and he did not run from it after the game.
With less than a minute left in their Divisional Round showdown against the 49ers at Santa Clara, California’s Levi’s Stadium, the Packers possessed the ball and were behind 24-21. 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw intercepted Love as he was attempting to put together either a game-winning or game-tying drive to give San Francisco the victory.
Love attempted to push the ball over the field’s center. While running, he also tossed the pass over his body. The play is shown below:
