Running back for the Detroit Lions Makes a Strong Remark About the Bucs’ Vita Vea
Some Detroit Lions players are spewing trash, while others are donating their flowers to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The most recent one was provided by rookie running back Jahmyr Gibbs, who remembers spotting him during the team’s Week 6 game. “Oh Sh*t, when I seen him on the sidelines.. he’s big,” stated Gibbs. He’s enormous. He’s competent. He is quite talented. He has my respect. Due to an injury, Gibbs was unable to participate in that game, but his career has taken off. The first-round pick rushed for 945 yards and 10 touchdowns, helping to spearhead the second-best rush attack in the league. On 52 catches, the speedy back gained an additional 316 yards via the air and made one touchdown.
Ben Johnson, the offensive coordinator for the Lions, is aware that hitting Vea’s center of the line would require selectivity and that they must be aware of his location on the field. “Extremely picky,” Johnson stated. “I believe you are correct. Everything you mentioned is accurate. We will be choosy when he’s in the game so that he doesn’t necessarily do a few things since we know where he is most of the time. I’ll end it there for the time being.
Vea had a pectoral injury in Week 6, which kept him out of full strength, but when fit, he can dominate games. The Buccaneers are hoping he does exactly that this weekend in their Divisional round match, stopping a renowned rushing offense. JC Allen may be followed on Twitter at @JCAllenNFL.
