Kurt Benkert, a former quarterback for the 49ers and Green Bay Packers, recently made an appearance on the “Up & Adams Show.” He stated that it has been approximately seven weeks, or almost two months, since Kyle Shanahan and company laced them up for a game that was worthwhile. Furthermore, if you do the arithmetic, he was alluding to the 49ers’ Week 13 trip to Lincoln Financial Field.
Benkert immediately reiterated his assessment, saying that the 49ers will be at a disadvantage when they meet the Packers on Saturday because they haven’t played a tough opponent recently.
“It’s important,” Benkert informed Adams. When was the last time the 49ers won a significant game? I was reading over this last night and looking at who they’ve played. or a game that made them perspire a little bit? It’s been more than two months, nearly seven weeks, and more than a month.
After the 49ers’ disappointing defeat to the Baltimore Ravens, a comeback win against the Washington Commanders, and a two-week break, Adams, a retired quarterback and former practice squad player for San Francisco, argued that Green Bay had strong late-season survival instincts.
Benkert continued, “And from what I’m seeing, the Packers have basically been playing playoff games for the last five weeks.” “Like every single week, they would have been eliminated or not in the playoffs if they had lost. In my opinion, the Packers are playing at their best right now, and everything resets when the playoffs begin.
Benkert went on to say, “And from what I’m seeing, the Packers have basically been playing playoff games for the last five weeks.” “They would have been eliminated or not in the playoffs if they had lost, just like every single week. The Packers are, in my opinion, playing at their peak right now, and when the playoffs start, everything starts over.
