Following the tabulation of all votes, players will be ranked by position (guard and frontcourt) in each conference for each of the three voting groups: media, players, and fans. The weighted rank of each player will be averaged from the votes cast by fans, players, and media to determine their final score. The NBA All-Star Game starters will be determined by tallying the scores of the two guards and three frontcourt players in each conference. In the event that players in a position group have identical scores, fan voting will be used as a tiebreaker.
