The Green Bay Packers are impacted by Aaron Jones in ways that transcend beyond the football field. This is demonstrated by the message Jayden Reed gave him during their Wild Card game against the Dallas Cowboys.
During the competition, Reed was mic’d up. The wide receiver for the Packers was then seen sharing a sweet
moment with his colleague, the running back, whom he praised for being a huge inspiration and influence on
him. Reed said that he always wants to play for Jones, expressing his admiration for him.
Reed was mic’d up during the contst. The Packers wideout was then seen having a rather heartwarming moment
with his running back teammate, whom he complimented for being such an inspiration and massive influence to
him. Reed expressed his admiration for Jones, noting that he’s someone he always wants to play for.
“You’re the reason I go hard bro. You somebody to look up to bro. You somebody to play for, I want to go out
there and block for you. I feel f**ked up when I don’t make the block,” Reed was heard telling Jones, as shared by NFL Films.
Jayden Reed’s message speaks volumes about Aaron Jones’ leadership. Sure enough, the 29-year-old has had a
huge mark on his teammates, which is evident by the praise he got from the young wide receiver.
Even better, Jones is someone who leads by example. He’s not someone who delivers hyped messages and tries
to act tough. He lives up to the example he sets, which everyone saw on Sunday as he powered the Green Bay
Jones finished the game with 21 carries for 118 yards and three touchdowns. The Cowboys simply had no answer
for him, and he kept taking advantage of the porous Dallas defense from start to finish. Without him, it’s
unknown if the Packers would be actually able to pull off the 48-32 victory.
Following his big game on Sunday, Aaron Jones made sure to remind their doubters what the Green Bay Packers
just did against the Dallas Cowboys. Nonetheless, he doesn’t want them to stop hating on the team. In fact, it’s the opposite.
Speaking to reporters postgame, Jones shared that he expects people to continue doubting them, which is fine
because he likes it that way. For him, he wants that underdog mentality and that extra fuel of proving people wrong.
“People are going to doubt us, but that’s fine. We love the underdog role, we love the underdog mentality,” Jones said,
With that kind of approach, it’s not a surprise why Jayden Reed has Jones as a role model. His competitiveness
and mental toughness is something else, and it’s something all young players on Green Bay can learn from.
