Following a Just Stop Oil protest that interrupted the World Snooker Championship, a former museum employee from Cumbria made an appearance in court.
Margaret Reid was charged with trying to commit criminal damage when she appeared at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
Edred Ilmari Heath Whittingham, a university student, showed up in court on a criminal damage charge.
They each entered not-guilty pleas.
On April 17, 2023, a guy sporting a Just Stop Oil T-shirt stormed the Crucible venue in Sheffield and threw orange paint powder over one of the tables, interrupting the match between Robert Milkins and Joe Perry.
