The World Snooker Tour will evaluate English snooker star Ronnie O’Sullivan’s remarks in his heated verbal attack on Ali Carter.
Carter has to “see a counsellor,” according to O’Sullivan, who called him “a f****** nightmare” after Carter defeated him in Sunday’s Masters final.
Retaliating against Carter, who said that O’Sullivan had “snotted on the floor” during their match at Alexandra Palace, which O’Sullivan won 10-7, the 48-year-old was punching back.
The WST declined to comment more, informing the PA news agency that O’Sullivan’s outburst was “under review.”
O’Sullivan went on, “He has a grudge against me. He has to consult a counselor or something because he needs to sort out his problems and organize his life. I haven’t spoken to him in 20 years, therefore he needs to resolve this.
During their 2018 World Championship match at the Crucible, O’Sullivan bumped into Carter at the table, setting off the two’s long-standing and intense animosity.
Carter got into a violent argument with a fan at Alexandra Palace on Sunday when the fan called out just as Carter was ready to take a shot.
