Two things were made clear by Love and C.J. Stroud’s games for the Houston Texans. One is that a rookie quarterback will succeed if a team surrounds him with components. Two, it looks good on the NFL scoreboard that two rookie quarterbacks who made their first postseason starts helped their clubs advance in the playoffs, following a season of inconsistent quarterback play around the board.
Not only has Jordan Love been the finest quarterback for the past two months, but it could be argued that no one has been more important to the Green Bay Packers than Love.
Love is not expected to win the MVP title because it is a regular season honor, but considering how he concluded the season and how much he has improved as a quarterback from Week 1, he ought to get some MVP votes.
