3-2, Bahawalpur upsets Lahore in a table tennis championship match.
LAHORE: On Thursday at Nishtar Park Sports Complex (NPSC), Bahawalpur upset Lahore by a razor-thin score of 3-2 in the Under-16 Talent Hunt Programme Inter-Division Table Tennis Championship final.
The Punjab Sports Department’s annual sports calendar program, which is being organized under the auspices of Sports Board Punjab, saw the Faisalabad squad place third in the competition.
Talha Tahir (Bwp) was defeated by Lahore’s Ayyan by a score of 3-1 (8-11, 14-12, 11-9, 11-7) in the opening match. In the second round, Anas Muneeb of Bahawalpur defeated Abu Bakar of Lahore by a score of 3-1 (11-8, 11-4, 6-11, 14-12). This decided the score. Zaman defeated Ayyan Pirzada of Bahawalpur by a score of 3-1 in the third match, giving Lahore the lead once more.
