It looks like one of the 49ers’ top players will suit up for Sunday’s Week 18 home game against the Los Angeles Rams at Levi’s Stadium.
All-Pro left tackle Trent Williams is expected to play in the regular-season finale despite the 49ers resting a number of starters after already securing the NFC’s No. 1 playoff seed. General manager John Lynch joined KNBR 680’s “Murph & Markus” on Friday morning, revealing that one of the team’s best players will suit up for the Week 18 matchup with the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday at Levi’s Stadium.
Lynch stated, “I believe we plan to play Trent early in this game and see where that goes. Trent is all for it. “Trent has performed incredibly well, is in excellent health, and recognizes and has faith in Kyle.” [Shanahan]
