Shaun Murphy hits the first 147 in tournament history in the snooker shoot-out.
Shaun Murphy defeated Bulcsu Revesz, a teenage Hungarian, and made the first-ever 147 break in Snooker Shoot-Out history.
Matches in the sport last up to 10 minutes, with players getting 15 seconds each shot in the first five minutes and 10 seconds in the last five.
After the break, Revesz, 16, gave Murphy an opportunity, which the 2005 world champion seized.
“On the [final] blue a fella shouted out ‘don’t bottle it’,” Murphy recalled.

Murphy’s maximum in the Swansea first-round match was his ninth career total and, barring an equalization, will earn him £5,000 in prize money.
He continued, saying, “I love the event and can’t believe what just happened,” in an interview with Eurosport. There was a lot of buzz. Win or lose, you get pumped up playing in this tournament.”I’ve performed both well and poorly, but it was a delight to play for the audience here because they saw something exceptional.”
Since the tournament began in 2011, Mark Allen has set the previous record with a break of 142.
