Shaun Murphy defeated Bulcsu Revesz, a teenage Hungarian, and made the first-ever 147 break in Snooker Shoot-Out history.
Matches in the sport last up to 10 minutes, with players getting 15 seconds each shot in the first five minutes and 10 seconds in the last five.
After the break, Revesz, 16, gave Murphy an opportunity, which the 2005 world champion seized.
“On the [final] blue a fella shouted out ‘don’t bottle it’,” Murphy recalled.
