- After missing four games due to a thumb injury, the Bears quarterback has made significant progress. Last week, he ran for 268 yards and a touchdown against the Falcons. But since going through a slump in the middle of the season, Love has improved greatly, recording 16 touchdowns and just one interception in his last seven games.

Packers quarterback Jordan Love was even better on Sunday night in a bigger game, on a bigger stage, and in a more challenging environment than Justin Fields, who hours earlier had electrified Bears fans with an effective, error-free performance against the Falcons that was so convincing that it prompted an enthusiastic “We want Fields” chant.
Love elevated his game to an Aaron Rodgers-like level with the Packers’ playoff hopes against the Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday Night Football. He threw for 256 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions for a 125.3 passer rating and added a two-yard touchdown run to spark a 33-10 victory.
And in doing so, Love accomplished a couple of statistical milestones that, while insignificant in Green Bay, undoubtedly had an impact on Chicago. With those three touchdown passes, he now has 30 for the season, which is more than any Bears quarterback in the team’s 104-year history has thrown in a season (except for Erik Kramer, who had 29 in 1995). Additionally, his 256 passing yards gave him 3,843 for the season, which is five more than Kramer’s 3,838 in 1995 and more than any other Bears quarterback has thrown for in the team’s 104-year history.
