Michael Badgley joined off the practice squad when Jason Cabinda was released.
DT – On Friday, the Detroit Lions made four roster changes, one of which was the dismissal of a player who had spent five seasons with the organization.
Fullback Jason Cabinda, who joined the Lions in 2019, was released on Friday to make place for kicker Michael Badgley.
Prior to the Dallas Cowboys game on Saturday, Badgley was signed off the practice squad.
Michael Schofield, an offensive lineman, was added back to the practice squad by the Lions, who also dismissed defensive lineman Chris Smith. Eight days earlier, Schofield was cut from the practice squad so that Craig James, a cornerback, could be signed by the Lions.
Two weeks earlier, Riley Patterson was replaced by Badgley as Detroit’s starting kicker for the game against Denver. In two games, he is 9 for 10 on extra points
