Tatum scored a season-low 15 points against the Warriors on Tuesday.
The Eastern Conference-leading Boston Celtics (20-6) are in the middle of a California road trip this week, starting with Tuesday’s 132-126 overtime loss to the Golden State Warriors (13-14). That loss snapped a five-game winning streak and saw star forward Jayson Tatum leave the game in the first quarter with an ankle injury.
Tatum returned to the game in the second quarter on but looked limited. He shot just 5-of-17 from the floor, his worst shooting performance of the season, and scored a season-low 15 points.
When will Jayson Tatum play next?
The Celtics confirmed Tatum is out for tonight’s game against the Sacramento Kings (16-9) with an ankle sprain. There’s no timetable yet for his return but the Celtics have a couple days off ahead of their Saturday matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers (16-10).
