SAD NEWS: A Formula 1 star just pass out this morning…..
Express Sport rounds up all the latest F1 news from the Austrian Grand Prix.
Today is the second sprint race of the 2023 season and it coincides with the Austrian Grand Prix weekend in Formula One. Max Verstappen of Red Bull and Charles Leclerc of Ferrari qualified on the top row of the Spielberg Grand Prix last night, setting the starting grid for tomorrow’s race.
Today’s sprint shootout, which will decide the starting order for the sprint race at 3.30 pm, will begin at 11 am. The winner of the 62-mile sprint race will receive up to nine points, with championship leader Max Verstappen hoping to increase his lead over Sergio Perez to 69 points.
There’s a lot going on in Formula One both on and off the track, including a discussion on whether teams should be required to postpone developing their 2024 cars. Verstappen naturally disagrees with Lewis Hamilton, who believes Red Bull shouldn’t be permitted to begin working on their next vehicle quite yet.
