Packers Elevate Kenyan Drake for Monday Night vs. Giants
With Aaron Jones expected to be inactive for a third consecutive game, there will be a new No. 3 running back for the Packers tonight against the Giants.
The Green Bay Packers have elevated running back Kenyan Drake from the practice squad for Monday’s game against the New York Giants due to Aaron Jones’ knee injury, a career-changing 13-day span.
Cleveland Browns released Drake from practice squad, leaving him without game action. Packers signed him, giving him three practices to prepare for this week’s game plan. Coach Matt LaFleur believes Drake can provide immediate help.
The Packers have elevated third-round pick Drake to the roster, while cornerback Eric Stokes is on injured reserve. Drake, a speedy runner and receiver, has topped 1,000 scrimmage yards with the Dolphins, Cardinals, and Cardinals.
