13-year-old Shaun Liu made history at Shoot Out.
Shaun Liu, a 13-year-old Hong Kong wildcard, won the youngest televised ranking match at the BetVictor Shoot Out. Liu defeated India’s Ishpreet Singh Chadha 57-52 in the first round of the quickfire tournament in Swansea. Chadha managed to rally from 21 points down in the final minute, but his fightback fell short.
Jimmy White, a 61-year-old veteran, failed to comeback against Zak Surety, trailing 36 points. He missed a clear blue, resulting in a missed win. Mark Allen, Ali Carter, and Chris Wakelin also won, while Stuart Bingham was defeated by Lukas Kleckers in a match against Germany’s Lukas Kleckers.
