The Eagles’ absence from Saturday’s roster moves may indicate positive news.
Dallas Goedert is expected to play against the San Francisco 49ers despite being ruled doubtful to play.
The Philadelphia Eagles did not make any temporary practice squad elevations before the deadline. Last week, Noah Togiai was called up as the third tight end, but it was speculated that they might do so again for the 49ers game. Grant Calcaterra is questionable to play, and the lack of a Togiai elevation could mean he will be the third tight end alongside Stoll and Okwuegbunam. Fletcher Cox was not called up from the practice squad, possibly due to the absence of Milton Williams and the lack of need to elevate Noah Elliss or Thomas Booker. Jordan Davis missed practice time due to a hamstring injury, and if Cox was definitely out, it could have been beneficial to have an extra DT body on the roster.
The Eagles and 49ers will announce their inactive rosters at 2:55 PM on Sunday to determine who will be in and out of the team.
