Derek Barnett is set to join Houston after being claimed off waivers by the Texans.

The Texans have claimed Derek Barnett off waivers and waived kicker Matt Ammendola, who missed a potential 58-yard game-tying field goal and a 50-yard kick. Barnett, drafted 14th overall in the 2017 NFL draft, has recorded 150 career tackles, 21 1/2 sacks, 37 tackles for losses, and 76 quarterback hits during his tenure in Philadelphia. Amendola is expected to rejoin the Texans on their practice squad.
