Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly interested in PSV Eindhoven winger Johan Bakayoko, but Brentford is also reportedly chasing the player in January, having missed out on him over the summer.
Sky Sports reports that Brentford is considering signing attacking players for January, as they will lose Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa due to the Africa Cup of Nations. Brentford is also considering investing in more attacking talent, with Real Betis talent Assane Diao being a top contender. PSV star Johan Bakayoko, who was close to joining Brentford for around £35 million in August, has decided to stay in Eindhoven after helping PSV qualify for the Champions League. Both Brentford and Tottenham Hotspur are also monitoring Bakayoko’s potential.
Tottenham’s interest in the club has been evident since August and has continued to grow in the early months of this season.
Tottenham may consider signing winger Bakayoko in 2024 as competition for Dejan Kulusevski.
