GOOD NEWS: Pedro Neto “INJURY” date of return has been raveled…….
Pedro Neto’s superb start to the Premier League season has prompted links between Arsenal and the Wolves star, but the player has already suffered another setback to his ailment.
Pedro Neto’s hamstring injury will keep him out of action until after the forthcoming international break, according to Wolves manager Gary O’Neil.
This season in the Premier League, the Portuguese international has been Wolves’ most impressive player. He topped the division statistics with seven assists, and there have been rumors that Arsenal may make an offer in January.
Having “two quality players per position” is important, as Mikel Arteta has emphasized, and right now, Bukayo Saka is the only naturally gifted attacker in the highest division. When the England star was hurt a few weeks ago, the Gunners used Gabriel Jesus out wide.
Neto stated he is content at Wolves in response to the rumors earlier this week, but that didn’t completely dispel rumors that a £40million could be on the cards. What has dampened the mood, however, is the injury he picked up against Newcastle United last weekend.
The winger was stretchered off in the closing stages of the 2-2 draw with what looked like a serious hamstring issue. Injuries have hampered Neto’s progress in recent years but his recent form made many believe he had overcome those struggles.
The first rumors indicated that he would make a comeback before the year ends, and Wolves manager O’Neil reiterated similar statements prior to their trip to Sheffield United this coming weekend. The manager declared: “We’ll go into the international break and see how he’s healing. He [Neto] won’t be available this weekend or next weekend.”
“I want to avoid drawing too much attention to it. Although he’s been outstanding this season, several other players are also in excellent form. Therefore, we must continue to press forward, maintain our momentum, and ensure that we are still in a strong position when Pedro returns.”
