After winning the FA Cup, Liverpool will face Man City in the Community Shield on Saturday, so we ran the game on FIFA 22 to predict the score
When Liverpool takes on Manchester City at King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon, fans will be fighting for their first trophy.
Liverpool will take on Premier League winners Manchester City in the Community Shield in 2022–2023 following their FA Cup final shootout triumph over Chelsea in the previous season. In the match against City, Liverpool may give new summer additions Darwin Nunez and Fabio Carvalho their competitive debuts.
Liverpool’s last appearance in the Community Shield came in 2020 after their Premier League success but lost on penalties to Arsenal. The last time the Reds lifted the shield came way back in 2006 against Chelsea, with Jurgen Klopp ‘s side losing their last two.
Klopp confirmed before the game that Adrian will start for the Reds in the Community Shield, with Alisson and Caoimhin Kelleher both on the sidelines. Diogo Jota will also be absent with a hamstring injury, as will Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Score prediction for Liverpool vs. Man City using simulation
In order to anticipate the score, we used FIFA 22’s kick-off mode without choosing a side to control. Instead, we chose the teams and let the game play out naturally. Because EA Sports’ most recent FIFA game, FIFA 23, won’t be out until September, this simulation will use outdated kits; nonetheless, every transfer has been finished to ensure that the simulation is as accurate as possible.
Our prediction is that Klopp’s team will line up in a 4-3-3 configuration, with Adrian, Fabinho, Thiago, Van Dijk, Matip, Salah, Firmino, and Diaz in the starting lineup.
We anticipate that City will line up in a 4-3-3 configuration, with Ederson, Walker, Dias, Ake, and Cancelo in the starting lineup.
