Celtics Center Ruled Out for Monday’s Game vs Knicks
After suffering two straight losses, their first defeats of the 2023-24 campaign, the Boston Celtics bounced back with consecutive wins.
First, they bested the Brooklyn Nets, 121-107, in their first game of the NBA’s inaugural in-season tournament. Then, they made light work of the Toronto Raptors in a 117-94 victory Saturday night.
Now Boston welcomes the New York Knicks to TD Garden for a Monday night matchup. These two squared off in their season opener, with the Celtics earning a 108-104 win at Madison Square Garden.
The only player on the hosts’ injury report for the rematch is center Neemias Queta. The 24-year-old from Portugal will miss his eighth-consecutive regular-season game due to right foot injury management.
Queta recently started doing on-court work again, and he’s on track to return soon, but the team will continue taking a cautious approach with his progression.
Monday night’s tilt between Boston and New York will tip off at 7:30 EST. Inside The Celtics will have content related to the matchup before, during, and afterward. Follow @BobbyKrivitsky on Twitter for updates and analysis from pregame to post
