Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper has confirmed that midfielder Danilo is back in training after his latest injury.
The 22-year-old suffered a hamstring injury during Forest’s last win against Chelsea back on September 2nd.
Danilo has been pictured in training photos recently, but no comment was made on his fitness.
However, boss Cooper confirmed that the midfielder is back in training but hasn’t yet put a date on his return to first-team action.
Danilo’s injury against Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea came at a really unfortunate time, as the ‘talented‘ 22-year-old started to show glimpses of his form from last season.
The midfielder went on an unbelievable run towards the back end of the last campaign, scoring in three successive Premier League appearances.
However, upon his return to the first-team squad, he may find it tough to dislodge any of the current midfield trio.
Ibrahim Sangare, Orel Mangala and Nicolas Dominguez have all been in terrific form – with Danilo facing a really tough task in gaining his starting position back.
