The qualifying round for the 2023 Scottish Open concluded on Thursday at Leicester’s Morningside Arena.
The top 16 seeds from the official world rankings had their round-of-128 matches carried over to the venue stages of the event in Edinburgh, as is customary.
The remaining competitors on the circuit, meanwhile, took part in the four-day preparatory round.
When it is finally held in the middle of December, the Scottish Open will be the eleventh ranking event of the 2023/24 snooker season.
It will be the third of four Home Nations competitions, following the previous English and Northern Ireland Opens, both held in October.
Zhang Anda and Chris Wakelin, who finished second to Judd Trump in Brentwood and Belfast, respectively, competed in Scottish Open qualification this week.
Wakelin defeated Mark Joyce 4-2 to avenge his title-deciding loss at Waterfront Hall on Sunday.
Zhang qualified for the final 64 with the same score as veteran Andy Hicks.
Ryan Day, Tom Ford, Noppon Saengkham, and David Gilbert were among those who made it through.
Scottish duo Anthony McGill and Scott Donaldson comfortably qualified for their home event, while Graeme Dott was defeated by Malaysia’s Rory Thor.
Other winners were Stuart Bingham, Ricky Walden, and 2022 runner-up Joe O’Connor.
Meanwhile, Jimmy White earned his first victory of the season with a 4-3 victory over Duane Jones.
World Championship semi-finalist Si Jiahui and Snooker Shoot Out finalist Julien Leclercq were among the other international players to advance.
The Scottish Open venue stages, where Gary Wilson will defend the Stephen Hendry Trophy, will be held from December 11 to 17.
