This November, Amazon will revive its beloved animation series Invincible and launch the reality series Road to a Million, capitalizing on its recent acquisition of the 007 series. Two documentaries with Tyler Perry and Ronnie O’Sullivan are added to their collection.
November 2023 will see the following releases on Amazon Prime Video UK:
Based on the groundbreaking comic book by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley, the story revolves around 18-year-old Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun), who’s just like every other guy his age — except his father, Nolan (JK Simmons) is (or was) the most powerful superhero on the planet. Season 2 sees Mark struggling to rebuild his life as he faces a host of new threats, all while battling his greatest fear – that he might become his father without even knowing it.
Writer and director Adam Sigal’s new darkly comic tale is based on true events and finds Pegg as Nandor Fodor – the Hungarian-American psychoanalyst, known as the father of parapsychology — on his search to discover the real Talking Mongoose, Gef. Minnie Driver is Fodor’s assistant Anne, who journeys with him into uncharted territory.
007: Road to a Million will see contestants competing in teams of two on a global adventure to win the ultimate prize of up to £1million. Filmed in many iconic Bond locations—from the Scottish Highlands to Venice and Jamaica—this cinematic format will be a true test of intelligence, endurance, and heroism. Brian Cox (Succession) will serve as The Controller, the enigmatic character who controls the fate of the contestants. All episodes arrive at once.
Maxine’s Baby: The Tyler Perry Story, a nod to his mother’s love, is a tender and intimate portrait of visionary and innovator Tyler Perry and his harrowing-but-faithful road to the top of an industry that didn’t always include him. Nearly a decade in the making, with unfettered access, directors Gelila Bekele and Armani Ortiz lead us into the inner world of a man whose story has never fully been told, as he becomes a father and a media mogul with a mission to pave his own road to the top. The product is a profound lesson on remembering where you came from to know where you want to go.
In 2021, Ronnie O’Sullivan made the decision to allow total access to his life for the first time ever, at a moment when he was beginning to consider a world beyond snooker, opening the doors to his personal life and a remarkable cast of characters for the very first time. Facing the end of a wildly successful but turbulent career, the snooker legend found himself on the verge of a career-defining tournament to win the snooker World Championship for a record 7th time. With the cameras rolling, Ronnie was pulled back into the dark side of competition that he was ready to leave behind.
