The insane, orange, hellbeast mascot of the Philadelphia Flyers got his hands on an alligator, as if he couldn’t get much more terrible.
This alligator, however, is not your typical alligator—it’s an emotional support alligator, one of the best animals to visit the City of Brotherly Love.
Prior to a game against the Carolina Hurricanes, Flyers mascot Gritty was spotted cuddling up to emotional support alligator ‘Wally’.
A genuine 5-foot gator named “Willy” completed Gritty’s Steve Irwin Halloween outfit. The gator had previously been turned away from a Phillies game in September. DailyMail.com offers up-to-date worldwide sports news.

Back in September, Wally’s owner, Joie Henney of Hershey, Pennsylvania, tried to take him to a Citizens Bank Park baseball game against the Philadelphia Phillies.
They were turned admittance, though, because emotional support animals are not permitted at ballparks; only service animals are.
Wally helps him “feel loved,” Henney said to CBS News. “I’ll get lonely and stuff like that and he seems to sense that stuff and he’ll come up and he’ll give me a hug,” Henney continued.
