The numbers show why Morgan Gibbs-White was playing well for Nottingham Forest on Saturday. The 23-year-old found it frustrating at times to be asked to play on the right wing.
After being left off the field for the match against Brentford, Gibbs-White has started the last two Forest games. Although he’s aiming for consistency, he’s crucial to Forest.
On Saturday, the Reds let a two-goal lead slip away against Luton Town. Chiedozie Ogbene and Elijah Adebayo gave the Hatters a point after Chris Wood had twice given Forest the lead.

This season, some supporters have taken issue with the gifted performer. Many people think he isn’t doing enough, but to be honest, that is a bunch of bullshit.
There would be disagreements among his Forest teammates regarding Gibbs-White’s negative perception. He was dubbed “incredible” by Harry Toffolo in November of last year after Forest defeated Crystal Palace 1-0 thanks to a strong showing.

They demonstrate how, aside from the big six, Gibbs-White created the most opportunities for any player at any club on Saturday. He tied Pedro Neto and James Ward-Prowse for the most goals scored, having created four opportunities.
Gibbs-White is doing just fine at Forest
The youngster is still striving for consistency. In terms of Forest players, however, he’s not alone in that sense and Gibbs-White will be craving more goals and assists.
That doesn’t mean he’s not playing well though. Sometimes you have to dive a little bit deeper to see how a player is truly performing and the stats always seem to work in Gibbs-White’s favour.
The Forest man has the potential to be a truly great footballer and he could go on to play for England. A challenge for Steve Cooper is to try and unlock his potential on a more consistent basis when it comes to goals and assists.
