Sunderland have announced the additions of three members of staff at the Academy of Light.
Three new employees have been added to Sunderland’s Academy of Light staff.
After leaving the position of lead coach for the under-11 and 12 teams, Jonjo Dickman is currently the head of the youth development phase and individual development coach.
Jordan Moore and Finbarr Lynch, the age group coaches, will be in charge of all players in the under-15 to under-18 age groups.
Furthermore, according to Sunderland, Carlton Fairweather and John Hewitson will also have a “slight shift” in their roles and will be “key players in the delivery of the programme.”
The actions follow Southampton, a Championship rival, stealing under-18 head coach Adam Ashgar earlier in the season.
Academy manager Robin Nicholls stated, “The opening of the U18 Lead Coach role gave us the opportunity to achieve two strategic aims that are important to us here at the Academy and overall, at the club.”
