Nottingham Forest could be able to land reported target Serhou Guirassy for a bargain fee in January.
The Stuttgart striker has been in incredible form for the Bundesliga team scoring 14 goals in just eight appearances. The Reds are likely to face competition from West Ham, Brentford and Fulham if they move.
BILD previously reported a move away from Stuttgart this winter “can’t currently be ruled out” because his stunning form will net the club “significantly more money”, which could tempt them into a sale. However, transfers journalist Fabrizio Romano says the 27-year-old could be available for just £17.5m thanks to a contract clause which is still valid in the upcoming transfer window.
Taiwo Awoniyi, a striker from the Bundesliga who joined the Reds from Union Berlin more than a year ago, is one of Steve Cooper’s previous successes.
In his previous speech, Guirassy discussed the following reasons for not signing with Forest this past summer: “We have a good team, a good coach and incredible fans,” he stated. As a family, we are very at ease in Stuttgart. That’s the reason I chose to remain at VfB.”
When asked if playing in the English Premier League was his dream, he responded, “Well, not really. However, why not move to the Premier League if it’s an option at some point? However, I don’t dream about it every day.”
