Reports state that Liverpool is “expected” to defeat Arsenal in the competition to sign Fluminense midfielder Andre Trindade.
During the winter transfer window, the Brazilian was strongly linked to Liverpool, who have won the most points from behind in the Premier League this year.
The Reds upgraded their midfield by spending approximately £150 million to sign Wataru Endo, Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister, and Ryan Gravenberch.
However, they failed to acquire a natural defensive midfielder to take up Fabinho’s position after he moved to the Saudi Pro League.
Andre would be a good fit, but Fluminense didn’t want to let him go in the summer because they wanted to keep him around for the entire Copa Libertadores this year.
However, a January transfer might be planned. Mario Bittencourt, the president of Fluminense, made a suggestion last month that he would be open to “talking” in January with Liverpool and other interested parties.
“The player and his representative have an agreement with us that he will stay until the end of the year, and they fully comply with the utmost tranquillity,” Bittencourt said to ESPN.
“What they have accomplished is serving as an athlete’s representative by informing Fluminense of all incoming polls.
“I go even farther in Liverpool’s case. The CEO of Liverpool got in touch with me personally. “My friend, I don’t sell players now and I don’t deliver now,” I shot back at him.
“We can start talking if you want to buy now and take delivery in January, or if you want to wait until December and we talk in December.”

According to reports, Arsenal is also interested in Andre, who is reportedly valued at €40 million, and they want to “steal” him from Liverpool.
Following a “new twist,” Football Insider has now identified the “expected winner” in the race to acquire Andre. The study asserts.
