Michy Batshuayi of Fenerbahçe piqued Nottingham Forest’s interest towards the close of the previous window.
According to reports from the Turkish media back in August, his representative was reportedly in England attempting to finalize the transfer, but the Tricky Trees were unable to close the deal.
The 30-year-old was unable to secure a transfer, and Nottingham Forest may have another chance to sign him in January. That is according to Sözcü, who also claim that RC Lens and Steve Cooper’s side are after the forward.
Batshuayi has struggled to get regular game time this season, so his decision to stay with the Istanbul club hasn’t worked out.Due to Edin Dōeko’s preference over him, Fenerbahçe manager İsmail Kartal has limited his playing time to 76 minutes in four league games.
After the international break, the Belgium international returned to his club, and Kartal instructed him to get ready for the next games. The report claims that the athlete did not respond, though.
Fenerbahçe administrators have so “decided to part ways” with him in January, which will benefit Nottingham Forest as well as Lens.
The former Chelsea man has a deal until 2024, with an option for another year, and Sözcü claim the Turkish club are aiming to collect €10m from his sale in the winter market.
