Despite getting cut up on Thursday when Dillon Danis struck him in the face with a microphone following a fight that broke out during a news conference, Logan Paul insisted that he will fight Dillon Danis on Saturday as scheduled.
Dillon can’t get away from me, Paul wrote on X. “The fight is very much happening, the stakes just got higher.”
Paul’s trainer had earlier claimed that the YouTube star had an eye ailment that could endanger the six-round fight.
Milton Lacroix, Paul’s trainer, told USA TODAY Sports over the phone, “Right now, we’re going through hell.” He was struck in the face. His eye has a cut. I’m therefore currently bugging out and looking for someone.
“There might not be a fight.”
However, Paul is “still ready to fight,” according to the CEO of the organization that is sponsoring the boxing battle.
Olajide Olatunji, the CEO of Misfits Boxing, told reporters that Logan was doing well. “I visited him there. Everything about him is excellent. He’s still prepared for battle. He is, in fact, extremely enraged and eager to confront Dillon.
Olatunji, often known as KSI, who competes in the co-main event, called Paul’s wound a “bump.”
The conflict between Paul and Danis that led to the altercation has gotten vicious because Danis online shared pornographic images of Paul’s fiance, Nina Agdal.
In a complaint filed by Agdal last month, Danis was charged with “unlawfully posting nonconsensual, sexually explicit photographs of her on the internet without her consent” and “engaging in a relentless, ongoing campaign of cyber harassment and bullying against her.”
