The latest Nottingham Forest transfer news as the defender is said to have turned down a late move to the City Ground in the summer transfer window.
Trevoh Chalobah, a defender for Chelsea, is ‘expecting’ to depart the team in January after declining a transfer to Nottingham Forest during the summer transfer window.
During the last few days of the summer transfer window, the footballer appeared destined to leave Stamford Bridge. According to reports, Chelsea reportedly accepted a proposal from Forest in an effort to stave off Bayern Munich and Tottenham’s interest.
However, Chalobah declined the opportunity to join City Ground because he preferred a loan move to Bayern, a deal that collapsed in the last hours of the transfer window. He will continue to work at Stamford Bridge through at least January.

It was said that Forest would have paid up to £30 million in add-ons had their accepted offer been approved. Instead of completing the late acquisition of Chalobah, Forest finished the signing of Andrew Omobamidele from Norwich City.
The 24-year-old has yet to play this season under new boss Mauricio Pochettino, and it appears that a decision on his future has already been taken. In order for Chalobah to receive more playing time, both Chelsea and Chalobah “expect to part ways in January,” according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
According to reports, there would be “discussions” with Bayern about perhaps re-establishing a deal, but “other clubs are in the race.” It remains to be seen if Forest will be able to pique their interest once again and attempt to convince the player to go.
Chalobah graduated from Chelsea’s academy and has since appeared 63 times in all competitions for the club. On loan from Stamford Bridge, he has also played for Ipswich, Huddersfield, and FC Lorient.
