We were all aware that adjusting to this season would be difficult in light of Harry Kane’s departure for Bayern Munich. Tottenham, though, has changed dramatically under Ange Postecoglou and has been playing offensive football in a free-flowing manner.
Due to the structure of the game, the Lilywhites are now atop the Premier League standings going into the season’s first international break.
It takes a lot for competitors to accept our good circumstances, and Ian Wright’s most recent statement on how Ange has changed Spurs is evidence of the excellent influence he has had on the team since he took over for Antonio Conte
Ian Wright discussed the analogies between Ange and Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag with Roy Keane on the Stick to Football podcast, which is hosted by Gary Neville on Sky Sports, according to football.london:
“Postecoglou man. At the moment? Postecoglou, it shouldn’t even be compared at the minute for what he has done for Tottenham in a short space of time. Amazing stuff. He (Ten Hag) has won a trophy when they weren’t expecting too much, it was about the results. You’re telling me now you start a new season and what are we seeing? Ange has come in under a lot of pressure and he’s showing us that Tottenham are playing a certain way.
Tottenham and United are separated by eight points and nine positions. Finding the Mancs from up top here was difficult. We are currently one of just two unbeaten teams in the English top division, which is really commendable.
Despite being praised for his prior accomplishments, Ten Hag faces a different position at United. He is currently operating outside of the public eye due to the expulsion of long-serving club legends and his inability to produce consistent results.
Fans can only hope that this momentum persists and the Lilywhites stay at the top of the Premier League as the season goes on.
