Tahith Chong was carried off the field after Birmingham City’s loss to Coventry and sent to the hospital for an X-ray.
After goals from Josh Eccles and Viktor Gyokeres in the first half left the Sky Blues on track to finish inside the Championship play-offs, the Blues were soundly defeated at the CBS Arena. A serious injury to Chong midway through the second half, however, cast a shadow over the contest.
Before being dragged off the field, the former Manchester United starlet required extensive medical attention after being left in a heap in midfield. Chong left the stadium using crutches, and this evening he will get an X-ray to see if there is any bone damage.
