8 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE Monday Night Raw (September 25 – Results & Review0)
While Cody sees the light and Dirty Dom enjoys the night’s best match, Drew McIntyre prefers the dark side.
WWE is a single corporation that books two events, so how did they come to be in a position where they are significantly more successful with one than the other?
Due mostly to The Usos’ contrasting outcomes after their divorces from The Bloodline and one another, that question has felt like the most important one over the past few weeks. While Jey has tried to reintegrate into life on Mondays with a number of people who don’t want anything to do with him, Jimmy has been making fun of Roman Reigns’ absence while selling the real struggles he went through.
This was particularly true going into this week’s show after his predictable but dramatic choice to accept an offer from The Judgment Day to join them in their effort to control all of WWE. In doing so, he strengthened his relationship with Cody Rhodes and nopped them in the biggest manner imaginable.
He was initially introduced to Mondays by “The American Nightmare,” and it appears that he is the one most determined to make it work. The flagship appears to be setting the stage for WarGames at Survivor Series in November while also supporting Fastlane and Crown Jewel. Sami Zayn is also on board, but Kevin Owens is less enthusiastic.
