Celtics Reportedly Trying To Move 1 Veteran
Over the past few seasons, the Boston Celtics have remained one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference.
Although additional centerpieces have been added around them, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown have remained the franchise’s central players.
In an effort to strengthen the roster, Malcolm Brogdon was added to the team last summer.
However, according to Legion Hoops on Twitter, after only one season with the Boston Celtics, the team is reportedly looking to trade for Brogdon.
The rumor was created by NBA source Adam Kaufman after one of his most recent reports.
Kaufman asserted that he has heard rumblings that the Celtics are interested in trade for the seasoned guard.
In the 2022–23 season, Malcolm Brogdon had averages of 14.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game.
Last season, he participated in 67 games, which qualifies him as a reliable role player.
Even at the age of 30, there is still a sizable market for him.
He would be a welcome addition to any NBA team looking to win a championship.
The Celtics made a significant trade for Kristaps Porzingis during the offseason.
The Celtics rose to the top of the odds to win the NBA Championship thanks to the controversial transaction.
In the 2023 playoffs, Boston made it to the Eastern Conference Finals.
However, the Miami Heat eliminated them in seven games.
When the Celtics tied the series 3-3 after falling behind 3-0 at one point, they undoubtedly gave their supporters optimism.
Will the Celtics succeed next year? Time will only tell.
NEXT: Jason Kidd Could Make Surprising Lineup Move For Mavericks
One of the worst teams last season was the Dallas Mavericks.
Many anticipated a similar outcome in the previous season, given that the team participated in the 2022 Western Conference Finals.
Nevertheless, despite trading for Kyrie Irving in the middle of the season, the Mavericks missed the NBA playoffs.
The organization will enter the 2023–24 season with a new approach, which includes experimenting with different lineups.
According to head coach Jason Kidd, one unusual starting lineup is Dereck Lively II, Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, and Grant Williams. This information comes from Noah Weber on Twitter.
I’ve discussed starting Lively with Luka, Kai, and Grant with the coaching staff and Nico Harrison, and we’ll see how it goes, Kidd said.
Now that’s an original method of choosing the starting lineup.
However, Kidd was sure to emphasize that this lineup is flexible.
He actually intends to try it out and see how it works over a few games.
If it works, terrific; if not, the Mavericks’ head coach will have to come up with a different starting lineup as the season progresses.
Doncic and Irving, the company’s heart and soul, will continue to be the two most important players on the roster.
To lead the Mavericks to their heyday, the dynamic combo must be on the same page.
It would include guiding the group, at the very least, to a few NBA Finals appearances.
Now, whether or not they succeed in winning it all is a topic for another day.
A steady starting lineup is now being worked out by the coaches in preparation for the NBA Training Camp.
